She was just a 21 year old with a dream when she left her good life, family and college friends in Poland and she brought her passion, talent and joie de vivre to Chicago in 2004. Since then, she has built a career as a highly skilled photographer, with clients ranging from families to professionals along Chicago’s North Shore and beyond. Raised by nurturing and loving but strict grandparents and working parents, Ewa had an opportunity to travel to the greatest art museums in the World, where she developed her appreciation, knowledge and understanding of the universal and timeless qualities that identify all great art. From visits to the Louvre Museum in Paris, National Gallery Museum in London, frequent travel to Italy, Spain and other places is where her love story with art started. Ewa’s distinct style is authentic, a bit artistic, and often black-and-white, but her work can be either gritty or refined. Her clients are as diverse as her skills. She can hone in on a family’s warmth, a professional’s intelligence, or a building’s significance. Her subject often framed by natural beauty or architecture, with a backdrop of the Bahai Temple grounds or Lake Michigan Bluffs, Ewa’s photos exude an artistic and intuitive style. Trusted by many North Shore professionals, families and couples, she captures what makes each person shine, whether it’s a piercing stare, a genuine laugh, or a playful moment. In the words of one client named Barbara M. from Chicago, “You really captured the ‘magic’ … I will make sure you are at the top of my referral list.” Some clients have grown with her, from baby bump photo shoots to business photos. The ensuing hustle would eventually pay off. A few decades later, she is a self-disciplined artist and professional with a highly specialized skill set and a wide-reaching client list.
When she is not doing beach photoshoots with families and couples or capturing work of other artists, professionals and businesses, Ewa is often continuing her arts education with frequent visits to the Art Institute of Chicago, Art Expos and numerous art exhibits in the State and beyond. She also frequently travels to New York to visit her favorite place in America, the Metropolitan Museum of Art. Ewa lives in Highland Park with her two rescue dogs Lola and Koko.
